Christmas Adventures for Red Class
‘Christmas Adventures for Red Class’
It has been a very busy half term for Red Class and they have made it through amazingly well! Our new students have also settled in really well, they already feel more confident and they enjoy every minute of their life at Oaktree School.
As Red Class students love reading and writing, we visited the local library, we chose our books which we borrowed and we have been reading in class every afternoon. The children have had the opportunity to read aloud in class, retell the stories, answer questions about the pictures, characters etc., as well as to swap books between them. They are all looking forward to return the books and borrow new ones in January on another trip which we have already arranged.
Red Class also had lots of fun and excitement on their two trips on the Cable Emirates cars and at Covent Garden. On their first trip on the cable cars children had an awesome experience on the cable cars and used lovely language to express themselves and describe the magnificent views. Likewise, on the way to Covent Garden, they looked at the signs around them and discussed safety whilst travelling in public. On all of the trips Red Class were extremely cautious, mature and very well behaved when crossing the roads and getting on or off the train/bus.
Well done Red Class for having an amazing first term, you have built your confidence, listening and social skills already! Have an amazing holiday break and see you all soon!
