Home Learning Activities
Week beginning 13.07.20
This week’s pack of activities includes 12 learning sessions which should be spread out throughout the week, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 per day.
Maths – 2 sessions
English – 2 sessions
Independence – 2 sessions
Computing – 1 session
PE – 1 session
Food Tech-2 sessions
Options (Art, Music)– 2 sessions
As your child completes the activities, feel free to use the email address below with any comments as to how he/she has been getting on with the work, as well as pictures of any tasks your child may have achieved (but please do not send pictures of your child, only the work!!!)
This way we can have two-way communication and your child may feel more of a sense of purpose knowing that myself or the relevant teachers will look at the work they have done and comment on it over the phone the following Monday.

Once you have finished there are 3 tasks for you to work through you only have to choose 1, (you can do more if you wish!) Please select the 1 you feel more comfortable doing.
At the end of the week I will set you tasks to do on Maths seeds.

English Session 1: Speaking and Listening
This week we will be practicing our speaking and listening skills again. Please look at the picture showing your child each part of the picture. If it helps maybe cover some parts so they can focus on one section at a time. Then using the questions, ask your child each one they will need to look at the picture again to identify the answer.
English Session 2: Letter Formation
Practicing how to write each letter clearly- Please read instructions on the worksheet.
Independence – Kitchen safety
This week you will make a nice cup of tea! Refresh steps on how to use electricity and the kettle safely before you start making a nice cup of tea. Look at the instructions and I’m sure you will remember all the steps!
Computing- what is code
This week you will learn what code is. Watch the video on the BBC bitesize ( the link is written on the PDF and on the word guideline ) and learn what code is. Two tasks for you to choose. Task 1: play the game on the BBC bitesize ( link is written on the PDF and word guidelines) or/and use the banery code uppercase alphabet ( banery code is written on the PDF file) and write your first letter of your first name and the first name of your surname. ( instructions on the PDF file)
PE - Oh Joe
So for PE Simon will have your child perform a routine using a YouTube video by Joe Wicks.
Pick two meals that you have eaten at home this week.
Write out a list of ingredients for each meal – you may need your parent or carer’s help for this
See if you can identify the meal with the most ingredients
Art (option)– Black lives matter
This week you will thing and create a painting related to Black lives matter. On the PDF there is an outline of a fist. Colour in the fist or write words or phrases related to the black lives matter. Ask help from an adult and search for some information on the internet if you need to.
Music & Performing Arts
This week you are going to learn to sing and sign an uplifting song called, The Best Day of my Life, by the American Authors.
