Week beginning 1.6.20
This week’s pack of activities includes 11 learning sessions which should be spread out throughout the week, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 per day. If you have the time and the opportunity to do a bit of reading with your child some of the days, that would be great!

As your child completes the activities, feel free to use the email address below with any comments as to how he/she has been getting on with the work, as well as pictures of any tasks your child may have achieved (but please do not send pictures of your child, only the work!!!)
Maths Session 1 & 2 – This week we are going to be working on measurements. There are 3 activities for you to do. The first activity is watching a video on measuring length. The second activity is a worksheet for you to complete, you have a choice of two. The third activity is to complete a session on Mathseeds
English Session 1 – Reading Eggspress
Please continue with your reading eggspress. Please let me know if you are having any problems logging on. I will be monitoring your progress and setting new lessons as you complete them.
English Session 2 – This week we are going to look at letter formation and describing words. There is a video to watch on BBC Bitesize and 3 activities to do.
Independence - We are going to continue with independent living. I would like you to help out in the kitchen by washing up, drying up and putting things away. This lesson is all practical.
Science – This term we are going to learning about plants. We are going to start by looking at wild flowers we can find around us. You can have a look at the PowerPoint on the science page and then go on a wild flower hunt. You could also pick some flowers to press or create a flower picture.
Computing – This week in Computing, you have a choice of TWO tasks. You only need to do ONE. If you enjoyed playing the ‘Apple Tree House’ game, you could do that task again or you could look for technological devices in your home.
Art– mini books
This week you will create a mini book. You will need paper, scissor etc. Follow the instructions on the PDF. take some inspiration by visiting the website of British library and create your own mini book
Food Tech – This week in food tech we are going to be looking for hazards in the kitchen. There is a worksheet to complete and also a practical activity looking for hazards in your own kitchen.
PSHE – This week we are focusing on self-care. Students will watch a video, do a short mediation and make a poster about how wonderful they are.
PE – 5 Minute Move featuring Betsy - The Body Coach TV. Use Joe Wicks to complete a circuit.
